SUSTAINED PROPAGANDA AND FAKE NEWS AGAINST EKWUNIFE, A CLEAR INDICATION THAT THE SENATOR'S OPPONENTS ARE AT THE BRINK OF DEFEAT

Just like hope is the last thing that dies in a man before his actual death, in politics, propaganda and fake news are the last resorts of losers. Currently, there is growing tension occasioned by the upcoming general elections, with candidates of different politcal parties contesting the election which is slated to hold on February 25th.

Among all the candidates that are contesting for the prized Anambra Central senatorial seat, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party and incumbent Senator, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has distinguished herself as the person who is most prepared for the Job.

Senator Ekwunife's ambition to return to the Senate has continued to unsettle some of her idle opponents who are not only ill-prepared, but lacks the requisite antecedents, competence, capacity and goodwill to occupy the exalted office of the Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. No wonder the Senator had challenged them to match her project to project and empowerment to empowerment, but in reaction to her challenge, they chose to show their weak and lazy ability to concoct propaganda and fake news, as there is evidently no project or empowerment in their empty shelf of political antecedents.

We have witnessed how these retirement-bound politcians and their cronies, in failed attempts to diminish Senator Ekwunife's unmatchable goodwill, commit valuable time and manpower to manufacture inconsequential and fictitious stories against the Senator.

Few days ago, these jittery political marauders made a false publication that "Senator Ekwunife has made U-turn and has chosen to support the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi". When in fact the Senator's message in all her campaign rallies and events were anchored on her desire to consolidate on her sterling achievements in the last three and half years in office.

When it dawned on the blackmailers that neither Ekwunife or any member of her campaign council is interested in engaging in their debacle with respect to who becomes the next President of Nigeria, they unintelligently released another statement using a forged letterhead and signature of the Chairman Senate committee on Science, Technology and Innovation, falsely claiming that she had dismissed Peter Obi's chances in the upcoming election on their imaginary and dubiously created bases that the Labour Party Presidential Candidate does not have the spread to win. When in reality the ranking Senator had never mentioned the name of the respected former governor of Anambra state in any of her campaign events. These elements also released another false report that Senator Ekwunife is in the EFCC net, when in fact the Senator had been campaigning across the Senatorial District and attended several public events today.

Their lastest publication on Punch Newspaper, a platform that has become notorious for its propagation of fake and unverified reports, can be said to be the last kick of a dying horse.

It is important to note that even the most unrepentant of Senator Ekwunife's critics will agree that the federal lawmaker better known as Madam Project has since her entrance into the political stage remained a force to be reckoned with and a rallying point for Nigerian women who are usually written off in politics.

Anyone who is aware of Senator Ekwunife's record, understands that the relevance, influence and acceptability she enjoy today stem from her ability to touch the lives of people using instruments within her disposal both as a citizen and public office holder, unlike her opponents who have nothing to show for their years in public office.

Since the PDP Senatorial Candidate flagged-off her campaign, her opponents have continued to orchestrate and create false stories to fill in for their lack of performance in their current and previous political positions, however, amid all these transient shenanigans, one thing is evident, Senator Ekwunife remains the only candidate who is campaigning on a solid and unbeatable record of performance.

It is pertinent to state, that the recent spate of propaganda against Ekwunife, the people's choice candidate for Anambra Central is expected to intensify in the coming days, as these shameless elements sink further into defeat and get more bereaved of ideas. The helpless resort to propaganda, is only a sign that the Senator is a contender whose growing acceptability sends shivers to the spine of her opponents. Some of whom are in shock over the ability of Ndi Anambra Central to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Irrespective of who is troubled by Senator Ekwunife's intention to return to the Senate and continue her life-changing developmental exploits, it is important to note that in a contest like this, only the best emerge, and Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife, has by her antecedents, track record and disposition proven that she is the best for the Job. Simply put, the best man for the Job is a woman!

Ndi Anambra Central are therefore urged to disregard these repeated fake, fallacious and malicious statements dubiously attributed to Senator Ekwunife by her sinking and apparently defeated detractors. The fact that these enemies of goodwill have been unable to provide any tenable evidence that Ekwunife made the concocted statements even when the Senator speaks publicly during her campaign events, is enough to show the people that the trending fake stories are figments of the detractors' imagination.
