Manchester United close to agreeing £84.4m deal for Antony after major breakthrough

Finally, Manchester United and Antony of Ajax have reached an agreement of €100 million (£84.4 million).

Although there were concerns that Ajax would not sell despite what United offered, the 22-year-old Brazilian has been Erik ten Hag's top summer target for United.

Now, according to sources in the Netherlands, an outline agreement is now in place for Antony, who will sign a five-year term, for €100m, including add-ons. Despite being more circumspect, United sources think a deal is now about to happen.

Chelsea consider late bid for Crystal Palace forward Zaha

Wilfred Zaha, an attacker for Crystal Palace, is a potential late target for Chelsea.

Stamford Bridge is making one last effort to bolster their forward line, and the in-form 29-year-old is one of the names being evaluated.

There has been rumours of Zaha receiving a new contract offer; he has one year remaining on his Palace contract.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a top priority for Chelsea, but they have not yet decided on a transfer fee for the 33-year-old.

Both earlier in this window and last summer, they inquired about Zaha. As they finalize their choices this week, he continues to be a player of interest.
