The notion that a woman’s education ends in the kitchen has become an obsolete and untrue ideology over the years as  many women have gone beyond the kitchen territory, to making actual achievements in the society and contributing to the socio-economic and political developments of the country. A lot of women have emerged in Nigeria as a force to be reckoned with especially when it comes to grass root governance.

Hon. Patricia Ifeoma Okpala (Mmazuluoke) Ada Ichida, is a native of Ichida Aniocha L.G.A of Anambra state, a daughter of the soil and a woman of substance who has the interest of her people at heart, saw a need to be their mouth piece at the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). 

   The most interesting thing about Honourable Patricia is that, she is a new and fresh mind in the act of politics which places her at an advantageous position because over the years, Nigeria has honorably maintained their status quo of continually recycling retired and tired politicians who should be occupying their retirement seats but rather, they see Aso Rock as their retirement homes and the people’s money as their pension. This is one of the problems of the country, people who are young, vibrant, new and innovative should take up the mantle of leadership. The English people would say, “The newer the better”.

Honourable Patricia is a woman who believes in fair play, equity and justice which are the fundamentals of modern democracy. Democracy is simply the government of the people for the people and by the people. This should not just be in theory but in practice, whereby the people at the grass root level will be given the opportunity to speak out their minds and actively participate in the government of their country without fear or prejudice.

 Honourable Patricia is a woman who has understudied the people and knows where it is itching them and the best way to communicate to the government on their behalf. Accountability and proper management of public funds is what they people require and these are the principles of Honourable Patricia. As an administrator  she has successfully built her personal empire and  over the years she has made a giant stride. The three constituencies made up of Aniocha, Dunukofia and Njikoka needs one who will be accountable to them and help the youths of the community acquire skills and jobs in other to be self-reliant for themselves.

  Honourable Patricia is a mother, a lover of education and youth development, an all-rounder, one who knows her root and would not forget her people in a hurry, she has come to serve her people and not to be served, which is one of the qualities of a leader. She believes that wealth made abroad should be brought home for the betterment of the people and which gives way for the popular Anambra saying, “Aku ruo uno”!!!  Indeed, mma Honourable Patricia Ifeoma Okpala zulu oke!!!  Vote someone you can rely on!!! Vote a person who has your interest at heart!!! Ka constituency anyi wee di nma!!!
